Man oh man was it cold! We were all shaking and shivering while climbing up and down hills. The Darris Family brought their dog along and what a hoot that was. It jumped in a tourists car and scared them half to death. Hysterical! We tromped through the snow, chased the dog, laughed and had a good time. They are an adorable family and I am glad to have gotten to meet and work with them.

Love those eyes!
Jesse was a crack up! His family was in on his Senior Portraits which was fun for me to witness. Their interaction, love for each other and happiness was just awesome and he genuinely liked his 12 year old sister! What a treat!

Three Little Monkey's
These three little monkey's just welcomed in one soon to be spoiled little sister to their family! They are the sweetest little boys you could be around. The littlest "monkey" kept asking, "Can I hold it!" Mom would carefully put her in his arms. He would grin ear to ear, kiss her and announce he was finished. The older two were a little more stable and worked super hard at getting it right. Getting these 4 all in the same frame, sitting somewhat still and looking in a somewhat similar direction proved to be quite difficult. A carrot dangled in front of the cart...fine, fine a sucker or two or three helped us contain them a bit. They were a lot like I would imagine the job of herding cats to be like. I loved every minute! Baby girl, you are one lucky little gal!
They are so in love with their new baby I think they might just rub her skin right off kissing her. At just two weeks old she already seemed to be getting used to it!

My girl
Izze got home from school with no following plans. It was snowing and neither of us felt like doing what we were supposed to do. So, instead we did this! We took fun pictures of just my 11 year old red head. It's hard to catch her hair accurately. Well, this is it (well, that all depends on your monitor). But...on mine. This is right! The real color of her hair! She is fun and wild. Just hanging out was great!

Girls!
We had fun (while freezing to death) just doing girl shots! It was Superbowl Sunday so everyone was parked in front of their TV's at home. Downtown was spectacularly EMPTY! We strolled around looking for fun steps, textures and color. We all left complete popsicles! Donna has teenage twin boys currently away at school and a hubby that was probably on his respective couch watching the Packers vs Steelers. This time was just about the girls! So sweet and so, so fun!

Harper....I mean Sandoval!
Ms. Harper...I mean Sandoval has been my friend for as long as I can remember. She moved here somewhere around fifth or sixth grade. My favorite memories are sleepover marathons, playing on the golf course and learning "We Are The World" in sign language in her moms preschool. I don't remember ever being bored! I do believe my antics got her into a fair bit of trouble. A teacher once put us in opposite corners in the back of the room to limit the disruption! I am sure I just yelled to her from my corner! Kami is at the crossroads of one adventure heading into another. It was fun to spend some time with her and the two girls to mark this moment in time. It is just that, a mark. A place in time she can look back and see where literally everything changed. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and her family! Next time...the hubby will join us!

... and Riley makes THREE!
What an exciting time for this family! This is "Baby's First Christmas". It just doesn't get any better than that! He is a delight and a wonderful addition. I always love spending time with two people who's heart belongs to someone so little. It's a love you only know once you have become parents. I wish your family the very best and hope this Christmas tops your list!

Treasure
You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.-- Desmond Tutu
I had fun shooting this family. It reminded me of my own, where the littlest one requires the whole tribe to direct his attention. We wanted to get as many shots in as possible while beating the setting sun. Both boys were very good sports! Happy Holiday Westlings and fam!
