Angel

Oh! I can't get enough. It's just too much. The rolls and squish are my fave! This little princess has a plethora. Bright eyes, three big brothers and the best squish around. What fun!

Character

I read once that the true goal of parenting is to BUILD CHARACTER. Character is the sum of our abilities to deal with life as God designed us to. Well... this kid has tons of character. Sean is witty, charming, smart, fun and thoughtful. It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with him for these photos. My thoughts were the entire time how he is the beautiful result of 17 years of love, dedication, preparing, caring, teaching, worry and everything else that has been funneled in by his wonderful parents. As a parent myself sometimes my goal is only not to screw my kids up. It gets overwhelming and hard at times. To have the chance to step forward in time and see how they might turn out on the other end from our efforts would be so cool. Spending time with Sean felt like just that. I have known this family for 4 years or so. It has been my pleasure to watch Sean glide through the dreaded teen years as a strong and positive leader to his younger brother and sisters. Now, he stands at the open door to the world. As he tests his wings and prepares to fly I think over and over, "Well done. Well. Done."

Sean- You have a very, very bright future in front of you. I have no doubts that the perfect path will be chosen! You will soar to heights you never dreamt possible!

Ms. Emmalee

Little Ms. Emmalee jumped ship early! She entered this world many weeks early by emergency c-section. She just couldn't wait to be in the arms of her mommy and daddy.  I can see why. They are open, warm and full of love. She is one lucky girl. Her parents are NUTS about her!
As they should be, she is perfect!
It's true! Your life will NEVER be the same.
It will be a million times better!

Bigger Than Big!

These are my oldest two prizes. Each year when we register for school and they sit for their yearbook we follow it up with "real" photo's. If I don't set a specific time out to do it time rolls by, they change and I forget. I want to remember them...just like this. Always.

"Bits"  We call her Bits because as a little girl kids always heard us say Izze and say "Itsy". That led some kids to call her Itsy Bitsy and then eventually we shorted it to Bits. I have learned NOT to yell this out in public. No matter what age, what size or where she is in life. She will always and forever be,
my Bits.

This year marks the last year that Abbi is MINE! All mine!!! She is still trapped. She turned 15 this summer and has one more year before she is behind the wheel. Watching her become independent is a pleasure that surprised me. I love "teenager" so far! It's fun to witness and hear her reactions and opinions to things. I am really proud of the person she is becoming. Best of all, she still needs me. Once in awhile she will still call me Mommy (usually when she is "working" me but I will take it). From the moment this carrot topped bundle entered our world she was a classic. She has a classy look, attitude and strength. I would give my left arm in trade for her legs but I wouldn't trade anything in the world for the blessings and love she has given. I love you Abbi, bigger than big!

Childhelp Fundraiser Flagstaff, AZ

June 11, 2011 A Night of Light and Hope Childhelp Wine Tasting and Auction Fundraiser. The story of Childhelp is about two young Hollywood actresses’ “chance” encounters—one with 11 homeless orphans abroad, and one with Nancy Reagan—and how they led to a lifelong commitment to helping children in need.

BB Freeman (comedian) was the host for the night.
Childhelp Chapter was started in 2007 by Jill Babb (left) and her husband Bill Babb

BD is thrilled to be busy filming the new season of topics on VH1's Pop Culture Shows!

Beginning in the 1950s, while entertaining U.S. troops in Japan, Yvonne Fedderson and her actress-friend Sara O'Meara became concerned with the plight of orphans and took the first steps toward founding International Orphans Inc., an organization that built and maintained four orphanages in Japan, as well as five orphanages, a hospital and a school in Vietnam. Lime and O'Meara later redirected their efforts toward abused and neglected children in the U.S. and changed their organization's name to Childhelp USA.

The founders first met each other in 1958 on the set of The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, a popular 1950s television show. The pair, rising Hollywood actresses, played the part of Ricky's girlfriend and quickly became fast friends.Yvonne Lime (Fedderson) had a recurring part on TV's "Father Knows Best" (1954) and had other roles in Elvis Presley's Loving You (1957) and AIP's I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) and claims to have dated Elvis.

Today, Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson continue to actively lead the organization as Chairman/CEO and President, respectively. Childhelp® exists to meet the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children. We focus our efforts on advocacy, prevention, treatment and community outreach.

Forever and Always

This was a vow renewal ceremony. What fun to see things "down the road". They reconfirmed promises and possibly made new ones but what made this extra special is that their kids were involved. Their oldest son played the guitar, their daughter performed a reading and the youngest was in charge of the ring. When a couple first gets married it's just them. Once children are added, it's a team. Watching this family in action was great!  Thanks Nicols! Best to you....forever and always!
